What is this Certification Program about?
Some premier management institutes of the country and Max New York Life Insurance Co. Ltd. have partnered to create a full-time 10-months program for graduates and experienced professionals. This program enables all selected candidates to launch their career at managerial level in Agency Distribution Channel of MNYL after successful completion of the program.
Why was the Certification Program conceived?
In line with its vision of becoming the ‘Most Admired Life Insurance Company’, MNYL believes in exploring and creating new Armour for building up its arsenal of future leaders. The program is aimed at imparting students with required knowledge and skills to take up managerial level challenges in the Insurance Industry. The vision of this program is to build a leadership pipeline for the Agency Distribution Channel.

What it the structure of the Program?
The program aims at developing professionals who are ‘Industry Ready’ from DAY 1 – the focus areas being conceptual learning, managerial and marketing skills.
The program duration is 10 ½ months that is divided into 8 months of formal classroom learning at respective institutes, and one month of participation in AIP activities. AIP (Academic Interface Program) includes workshops, seminars, guest lectures, leadership development program and so on by MNYL faculty.
In addition, there will be a compulsory internship project of about 45 days at MNYL offices, where the participants will have an experience of applying all their course learnings in real business scenarios.
Formal classroom learning will include basic management principles, domain concepts in insurance and financial planning, soft skills, product knowledge and training.
Will I be paid stipend during Internship?
All Program Participants will be paid a stipend of Rs.5,000/- per month during their internship.
What is the Fee for the program?
The fee for the program will be at the sole discretion of the Institutes who have tied up with MNYL to run the program. However, the same will be as per standard course rates of the institute.
After joining MNYL, successful candidates will have an opportunity to earn back their program fee up to 100%, based on their performance.
Who is eligible to apply?
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Minimum 50% marks aggregate during Graduation
What is the selection process for the program?
The Selection Process is as follows:
- Career Counseling
- Written aptitude test or CAT/GMAT and other scores as applicable
- Personal interview
- Successful candidates will be given a Letter of Intent (LOI) at the time of joining the course itself
Is there a hostel facility available?
Hostel facility is mostly available in the institutes. However, selected candidates will have to go through the standard process of allocation of hostel accommodation as per institute policy.
Do I have any 'Assured Job Placement' after the program?
All participants of the Program will be issued a Letter of Intent (LOI) at the time of initial selection into the program and considered for induction into Max New York Life Insurance Co. Ltd.
The criteria for successful completion of the program also include participant performance during the formal classroom sessions as well as during the internship with MNYL. Upon meeting all the program requirements, MNYL will provide 100% placement guarantee to successful participants.
What location will I be placed at? Which vertical of MNYL will I be absorbed in?
The preferred location for all candidates will be their native places / hometowns. However, the same will also be driven by organizational requirements. The final discretion for allocation of location to a successful participant will rest with MNYL.
Does MNYL provide any financial assistance to the students?
MNYL does not provide any financial assistance for the program.
Does the institutes provide any financial assistance to the students?
This depends upon the policy of the institutes on the matter.
